The Yungdrung Bön tradition, like Buddhism, contains both Sutra and Tantra systems with their own teachings and practices. The Tantras are found within the Three Cycles of Precepts (bka‘ skor gsum) and among the Four Portals of Bön and the Treasury (bon sgo bzhi mdzod lnga). Distinctions are drawn between Outer and Inner Tantras, and four extant classes of Tantra exist, each with its corresponding meditation methods and rituals. In these two sessions, John will explore the Tantra methods as taught by Buddha Tönpa Shenrab and as explained by Yongdzin Rinpoche in his commentaries.
